That was my purchase LAST Monday night. And I am just getting around to posting it a week later. Now, once I get DH to put it all together and see if one of my machines will work on the carriage, I'll be in business. I don't plan on taking quilts in to quilt, but it will be nice to do my own machine quilting on it.
Busy with getting ready for a sale with my BFF in her town that is to be held on Oct. 6th. It is coming up fast! I am making table runners and wall hangings to sell. It takes me forever to do a binding, but I am just not too good at pulling it around to the front and sewing it down that way. So, it gets sewn on by machine from the front and then hand stitched to the back. They turn out so much nicer that way.
Well, off to get some more of a binding finished. I am behind, just a little so it looks like I will be sewing up a storm the rest of this week in the evenings. It's too bad I have to work everyday.

ANOTHER YEAR
... for school, that is. I feel very lucky. See, I get 3 (THREE!) 'new' years every year. 1 of course is in January and everyone seems to want to do better at whatever they want to do better in. The 2nd 'new' year is the beginning of June when I decide all my quilty projects that I feel I MUST accomplish over the next 3 months. And, the 3rd is the beginning of the school year when I seem to have the urge to make yet, more lists of things to accomplish.
This time of year, the Autumn wall hangings go up, the garden bounty gets put up for my winter stews, and dreams of more colorful gardens for next year start circulating.
The YO-YO wall hanging is one of my very favorites and was made for me by one of my very close quilter friends. The Leaf wall hanging is another of my favorites and was made a few years ago.
Sometimes, table toppers and table runners are just too pretty to lay down and have the chance taken that a younger person than myself or even a being that is made almost entirely of fur would dare to place something on top of them.

CATHEDRAL WINDOWS
Another month has gone by but I got lots done. This is a wall hanging I started quite a few years ago in a class in Hershey. There were 3 windows done and I spent one Saturday and finished the rest of them. I LOVE IT! I am currently working on a teal and cream baby size one and have a king size using all scraps in the wings.
I also had to refold my stack of quilts that fell over. It was nice to revisit with some of them as I had forgotten what I had made! LOL! I hung up the leaf table runner and a beautiful YO-YO table topper my friend, Sheila, made me. They are too pretty to put on a table and then put stuff on them. Since I don't have a photo of them, I will show them another day.
Off for now. A picnic tomorrow and get to see a new baby niece. I even have a baby quilt all ready for her!
