ORGANIZING AND SNOW

11 inches and today about 5 more.  Like I said before, it is February and winter is sure telling us so.  It is so pretty out and dear husband even built a large snowman today that will greet anyone coming down the driveway.

Spent all day organizing downstairs in The Cotton Patch.  At first I was overwhelmed but once I really got started and going through baskets and plastic containers, I was excited to move forward.  I emptied out 3 large plastic containers, have a bunch of empty baskets, and even have room to put more stuff!  Of course, I still have to move the Grace frame in there and some of the quilty related items in Katie's room down there but it's good to know that I won't feel too guilty if I find something at the Lancaster quilt show or the fabric stores around there that I just gotta have.  One month from today we will be in Lancaster.  It's a yearly trip that I spend with my sister, my BFF, and several other friends for 3 days.  We shop and eat out, and in the evenings, we show each other our special finds for the day.  The snow better not stick around this year because we are all looking forward to our time together.

Oooh!  Decided on choosing a different electrician since the first choice still hasn't come to start the work.  This fella came out yesterday to take a pre-check to see what he needs and might be back next week to start.

I switched phones and have gone to a smart phone.  It's a good thing Katie was around for 3 days to show me how to work it.  That's the little problem with me not posting photos right now.  I am still working on figuring out how to post them to my email and then put them here.  But since I am taking the photos, I should have lots to show here soon.

Well, gotta scoot!  A quick check of the weather for tomorrow and then off to sleepland.  It was a long day.

Tada,

THE COTTON PATCH

The name of my new quilt room!  The Cotton Patch.  Sorry to say it is not finished, so the organizing has not yet started.  Hopefully tomorrow we will finish the painting on the doorways and windows and then I can decide where to put everything.  I WANNA GET IT DONE!  And no electrician yet.  His days are being counted.  We work by shop lights when the sun goes down.  I might have trouble finding places to put what I do have and am already thinking I need another bookcase. Photos coming soon.

Katie-girl is in N. Carolina.  She has sent some photos that were taken with new friends and looks happy.  In one of the photos, I saw a quilt on the bunks!  So, I asked her if I was seeing what I thought I saw and she said it was.  I also asked her if she needed a quilt down there and told her I would make her one once the room is finished and I can find things, but in reality - she will be in the field training for the next 56 days or so.  Think I will start planning it and working on it soon and maybe it will be ready for when she moves forward to Pensacola.  That is, if she is allowed to have one there at that school.

40 days until Spring!  Waaait a minute.  Isn't Spring on March 21st or somewhere around there?  Is that really only 40 days away and I am thinking it is longer than that?  Must be this snow and ice we have been getting about once a week.  Now, any normal person would be driving at least by the next day, but not me.  Fortunately I can catch a ride to school and back again.  Let's see.  The last storm came through here on Wednesday and I haven't had my car out yet.  It's a good thing I don't live in Canada or Alaska where they get bunches.

Ooooh - gotta scoot!

TaDa!
